As of 2001 India census, Nohar had a population of 42,302. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Nohar has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: Phephana is the biggest village in Nohar Tehsil.
Language -
Bagri, a dialect of Rajasthani language, is spoken by majority of population. Besides, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu are also in use in this tehsil
